I know there was a time when the PC gaming enthusiasts used to look down up on the prebuilt gaming PCs simply because they did not offer the same value and the ability to customize them was not there, to begin with. However, over the past couple of years, things have changed to a point that prebuilt gaming PCs are coming in with great value for money and most of them use off the shelf parts, which allows you to later customize them the way you want to.
That is the reason why we have decided to review the best HP gaming PC, so you do not have to worry about finding the right one. Also, in this age where GPU shortage is sky high, buying a prebuilt makes a lot more sense since you can actually find a GPU installed in these without having to pay an exorbitant amount to the scalpers.

OMEN 30L RTX 3090
Specifications:
- Intel Core i9-10850K
- NVIDIA RTX 3090
- 32GB of DDR4 RAM
- 1TB SSD/2TB HDD
For those who don’t know, the Omen lineup is HP’s top of the line offering for those who want the best in every aspect and honestly, it rarely disappoints. For those who are not looking to make compromises on the overall experience, this lineup is for you. However, despite being geared towards the enthusiasts, the thing that I do love the most about Omen series is that it has offerings for anyone who is looking to not spend all their money. So, even if you are on a budget, there is something available.
With that said, the OMEN 30L RTX 3090 certainly boasts one of the most impressive spec-sheets that you could hope for and honestly, I am surprised that the spec sheet is impressive. For those who do not want to spend that much money or need such a powerful PC, the same series is available in RTX 3080 and a few other GPU configurations as well, but of course, you can kit it out the way you want thanks to HP allowing you to do.
With that said, this is one of the best prebuilt gaming PCs that I have seen in the market; the overall design is the right amount of flashy but at the same time, it is super elegant, allowing you to actually gain the proper control over the PC and how it looks.
Another thing that I do love a lot about the OMEN 30L RTX 3090 is the fact that all the parts that it is using are standardized, meaning that if you do need to change something out, you have the option to go ahead and do it without any issues.
Another thing that I do love about this gaming PC is that despite the annoying GPU shortage, the overall price is fair and unaffected by the scalping, so you are getting everything at retail in addition to a small premium, which is more than fair, at this point.
The only thing that I do not like about this PC is that it is using a 10th generation Intel Core i9 processor in days when the more modern offerings are available but if you want this for gaming alone, then this is easily one of the best HP gaming PC in the market.
Overall, it is more than safe to say that the OMEN 30L RTX 3090 is an excellent piece of hardware that should satisfy all the gamers alike. If you are truly looking for a performer without any compromises, then getting this is the right way.
- Retains the value for money.
- Excellent looks in terms of flashiness and elegance.
- Great performance across the board.
- Standardized parts.
- The processor is an odd choice.
HP OMEN 30L RTX 3070
Specifications:
- Ryzen 7 5800X
- NVIDIA RTX 3070
- 16GB of DDR4 RAM
- 1TB SSD/1TB HDD
The great thing about HP is that it has a list of PCs that cater to everyone. If you do not have the budget for an RTX 3090 powered PC, it is more than okay. You can always buy something from the Omen lineup but with a different, more affordable configuration, this is what makes HP such a great offering and that is why most of us are going for it, to begin with.
As you can see just by looking at the specs, the HP OMEN 30L RTX 3070 comes with a fairly decent set of specs. If you feel like spending a bit more money, you can always go with the same PC but with an RTX 3080 under the hood but hey, if you are not in the mood to shift to 4K just yet, then you are looking at an excellent PC that is not going to let you down in any case.
With that said, there is enough to love about this PC and I am going to start with how it looks; it shares the DNA with the higher end versions of the same Omen, which I do love because HP is not cutting costs on the looks and that is certainly a thing that I appreciate and I am sure gamers would do.
What else is there? Well, we are looking at a PC that comes with a standardized list of components, which means that if you do want to go ahead and make some changes, it should not be difficult. Just swap out the components and you are good to go.
The performance on this is definitely one thing that I love about the HP OMEN 30L RTX 3070. For starters, the 5800X that goes inside this PC more than manages to deliver excellent overall performance and combined with an RTX 3070, you are getting yourself one mean gaming PC and for an excellent price, might I add.
Honestly, my only concern here is that this gaming PC could have used better cooling but other than that, everything about the HP OMEN 30L RTX 3070 is exactly how it is supposed to be and the performance alone is something that makes it a great offering.
Overall, if you are in the market looking for a gaming PC that has an RTX 3070 and a good processor that will not only prove itself in games but also in productivity, then the HP OMEN 30L RTX 3070 is one of the best HP gaming PCs you can pick up without a doubt.
- The Ryzen 7 5800X delivers amazing performance.
- RTX 3070 is suitable for 1440p performance.
- Has all the standardized, easy to replace parts.
- Everything covered in a single warranty.
- Limited options when it comes to coolers.
HP OMEN 30L RTX 3060
Specifications:
- Ryzen 5 5600G
- NVIDIA RTX 3060
- 16GB of DDR4 RAM
- 1TB SSD
We are closing in on the finale and there are still some excellent offerings that are left on the table. For starters, the RTX 3060 powered PC that we have is great in all terms and does deliver excellent performance across the board. If you are someone who is looking for a stellar PC for 1080p and even 1440p gaming, then this is a great buy.
The PC also brings other advanced features such as RGB lighting, as well as a tempered glass case, the case is same as the one that comes with the PCs that we reviewed on the other articles. The configuration itself is good enough that will allow you to game with ease and won’t run into any problems, either. If you are looking to game on a budget, this is a great offering.
Sadly, the same issues that plagued the previous gaming PCs plague this one, too. For starters, the limited cooling options. Thankfully, the Ryzen 5 5600G is not a hot processor by any means, allowing you to run it with ease and no other issues that might be coming in the way.
Overall, for those who are in the market for a decent enough PC that can more than handle its own against most games, the HP Open 30L RTX 3060 is an amazing choice, you are not paying a lot of money here but what you are getting is an amazing PC armed to teeth for the price.
- Solid 1080p performance.
- The Ryzen 5 5600G does not need much cooling.
- Aesthetics are simple and elegant.
- Plenty of ports on the back.
- Cooling options remain limited.
HP Pavilion TG01-0040
Specifications:
- Ryzen 5 3500
- Radeon RX 5500
- 8GB of DDR4 RAM
- 512GB SSD
The last PC on our list is truly for those who are on a budget and do not want to spend a lot of money. We are looking at a Pavilion series, and we all know that the Pavilion series of laptops and computers are for those who are on a budget. With that said, just because we are looking at a budget PC does not mean that the performance is not good enough.
You can tell just by looking at the specs, the HP Pavilion TG01-0040 is an entry-level PC. However, good news is that the RX 5500 is a great GPU for entry level gaming and not just that, if you are looking to get into some e-sports gaming, you have more than enough horsepower to play the games you want to play.
The RX 5500 offers an impressive boost frequency of up to 1845 MHz with 4 gigs VRAM on a 128-bit memory interface. I do understand that this might seem like dwarfed in front of some of the more powerful GPUs but for those who are looking for performance in 1080p games, this is more than enough.
As for the Ryzen 5 3500, you are looking at 6 cores with frequency that goes up to 4.1GHz. I do understand that you are looking at an older CPU, but the Ryzen 5 3500 is more than capable when you are talking about delivering good overall performance and you are not going to regret getting that, either.
At this point, it is safe to say that the HP Pavilion TG01-0040 is an excellent budget gaming PC for everyone. My only concern is that if you do want to push this CPU through some of the higher end games in the market, then you might have to spend money on some upgrades.
Overall, the HP Pavilion TG01-0040 serves as a great entry point to those who are just looking to get some e-sports gaming done. Games like Valorant, PUBG, Fortnite, Rocket League, and Apex Legends work really well and you can enjoy the overall gaming experience, too.
- Excellent PC for budget-users.
- Good overall specs with a decent processor and GPU.
- Great for 1080p gaming and e-sports titles.
- Not built for AAA titles
Conclusion
Picking up a prebuilt gaming PC is a confusing factor for a lot of people because of the notoriously difficult upgrading process. However, things have changed drastically over the past couple of years and modern day prebuilt computers from HP or other companies are excellent in every way, to a point that you can just get your hands on one and use it the way you would like to, and that too, without any issues.
The round up focuses on a few amazing HP gaming PCs that you can get your hands on and the performance that they deliver will not disappoint anyone. If you are looking for the highest end PC, you can easily get that and even if you want something on a budget, that is also possible.
